Universal monitoring and diagnostic probe for serial communication
Dvořák, Ondřej ; Povalač, Aleš (referee) ; Záplata, Filip (advisor)
The thesis deals with design of a device for communication analysis in standardized serial interfaces, with differing parameters. The goal of the thesis is a complete design of a device including wiring diagrams, PCB, get PCB alive and design complete device firmware. The device will be able to process and analyze data on selected interfaces. The user controls the device with the use of USB interface, connecting the device with a PC or other computing devices. Communication is done by a simple protocol in ASCII, its design is included in this thesis. The device can analyze errors in the interface and inform the user about them. Firmware should be flexible, to allow the addition of more interfaces and protocols.
Adaptation of digital predistorter to linearize amplifiers using comparator
Detector of bubbles in blood
Foltýn, Vojtěch ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
ABSTRAKT This thesis is the theoretical part deals with various ways of cleansing the blood, with a focus on hem dialysis. Describes the technical solution and monitor the dialysis flow diagram of blood and dialysate. The paper describes various solutions to detect bubbles in the blood and their advantages and disadvantages. Based on the best method of detection are designed detector bubbles. Working in the practical part contains a proposal detector set for venous diameter of 20 mm. Equipment to detect bubbles allows for connection to a blood pump discontinue its activities. Output works are drawing diagrams, printed circuit board design and implementation of graphs circuits.
Design of the latched comparator and its comparison with an opamp like comparator
Mrázek, Petr ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
The main content of this work is the design of four basic topologies of latched comparators and opamp like comparator. The introductory part of the bachelor thesis deals with the description, comparison and principles of operation of comparators such as opamp like comparator and latched comparators. In the practical part of this work is firstly performed the design of all the mentioned topologies of switched comparators and comparator of the operational amplifier type. Subsequently, they are compared with each other mainly in terms of their speed, accuracy, amount of kickback noise and consumption. At the end of the practical part, the design of these four basic topologies of switched comparators have been performed again, but already with the techniques for reduction of kickback noise applied to them. The whole work is concluded by the evaluation of individual acquired knowledge.
Audio amplifier with PWM for laboratory measurements
Lelek, Martin ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This paper describes about theoretical design of class D power amplifier. Amplifier is primarily intended for laboratory measurements, i.e. measuring of major parameters of amplifier operates in this class (frequency response, slew rate, aliasing etc.). Amplifier (oncoming laboratory module) uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) and is constructed from separate blocks for possibility of measuring key signals trough all the structure (triangle comparation wave, analog input signal, feedback signal, PWM signal from modulator, drivers and power transistors, output signal after recontruction filters). Laboratory module is determined for laboratory power supply of safe voltage and should be produce power of several tens of watts into usual load impedance.
Applied use of DSP blocks in Intel FPGA
Kondys, Daniel ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee) ; Smékal, David (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis explores the utilization of DSP blocks located particularly on FPGA Stratix 10 DX 2800 for the implementation of a counter and a comparator. In the theoretical part, topics such as the protocol Ethernet, the FPGA technology and its relation with Network Interface Controllers are explained, followed by a~description of general design flow for digital circuits on FPGAs and a detailed insight on DSP blocks in the Virtex UltraScale+ XCVU7P and Stratix 10 DX 2800 FPGAs. The practical part focuses on the design, implementation and testing of the counter and comparator, followed by measurements of their impact on FPGA's resource utilization and maximum frequency. Lastly, it describes the integration of these components into modules that are part of the COMBO-400g1 Network Interface Connector firmware and analyzes their impact on FPGA's resource utilization and maximum frequency.
Design and parameters optimization of latched comparator in 250 nm CMOS process
Matěj, Jan ; Kledrowetz, Vilém (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design methods and optimization techniques of dynamic latched comparators. It compares latched and continuous comparators and describes their principle. Then it analyses three popular latched comparator structures with respect to offset, speed and kickback noise. It shows practical comparator design focused on offset precision.
Universal controller for car or motorcycle dynamo
Picmaus, Jan ; Knobloch, Jan (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of design of an electronic controller of charging for historical cars using a dynamo. It contains theoretical analysis of the machine itself (dynamo) and analysis of a shunt wound dynamo and a seperately excited dynamo. It~is also focused on possible usage of a dynamo in various vehicles. The work compares industrially produced controllers with amateur manufacture as well as confronts their positives and negatives. All requests for the implemented controller are deduced from the analysis of the industrial and amateur controllers. The thesis consists of process plan of controller connection including the final working version and also the project and realization of a PCB as well as following description of putting the controller into practice and installation in the car. The thesis includes the project of current and voltage controllers, following adjustment and operation tests with use of the real device.
Design of switching class audio power amplifier
Bronec, David ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with the issues of the switched category output amplifiers and its aim is to design and to construct a stereo amplifier with the energy output about 100W. The amplifier is constructed in the switched category D. The design of the corrective preamplifier with the correction of depths, heights and the balance functions is also described. Furthermore, this thesis deals with the description of the switched power supply with the TOPswitch control circuit. The design is also supplemented by the simulations and the printed circuits of each part. There are also some photographs of the device and the measurement protocol is included too.
